Eastbluff Dress Code
Dress for Respect
The quality of work students’ produce at school as well as their attitude is affected by their personal appearance. Evan as adults we know that when we look good, we feel good, and we do “good”. Students are expected to dress with reasonable standards of cleanliness and modesty. Clothing should be worn that will not draw undue attention of peers or be distracting to instruction. The principal will contact parents and may send a student home if a student’s attire is inappropriate.
Standard Dress Code
Shoes
- Should be practical to allow for running, jumping, and kicking while participating in various school activities. Examples: tennis shoes, saddle shoes
Clothing:
- Skirts, dresses, and shorts should be appropriate length for modesty (no shorter than extended fingers down the side)
- Overalls must be strapped for safety
- Pants should fit well (not overly baggy)
- Tops should cover the pants when arms are extended over the head
Please DO NOT
Shoes
- Leather soled shoes are discouraged because of the danger of slipping on the blacktop
- Thongs, flip-flops, and open-toed shoes for safety reasons
- Shoes with wheels are not allowed
Clothing
- Blouses/shirts should not be see-through
- No spaghetti straps - two inch width minimum
- Shirts should cover the shoulders without undergarments showing
- No crop-tops; stomach should be covered
- Pants should not be overly baggy
- Hats should not be worn inside any school building; hats will be removed during the Pledge of Allegiance and patriotic songs
- Inappropriate slogans on clothing. Printing should not include slogans or references to drugs/alcohol; inappropriate, obscene, or profane words or symbols
Jewlery/Makeup
- No dangling earrings; only posts or tiny hoops
- No makeup
- No unnatural hair colors
District Dress Code is enforced every day, all year.
