Eastbluff's wonderful librarian, Ms. Yoffa is offering a morning homework club from 8:00 to 8:30 every morning!  If you are interested in more information, or to sign up, check out the Homework Club Flyer.

Eastbluff Otter Pops Orchestra

Eastbluff is proud to offer a free music program to support upper grade students.  Otter Pops meets Monday and Friday morning at 7:30.  Students can use their own instruments or check one out on loan for the school year.  See Ms. N for more information.

After School Programs

These are just a few examples of the types of after school programs offered at Eastbluff!  There are so many ways to enrich your child's education through these fee-based programs.  Look for fliers to come home in your child's backpack throughout the school year. Bricks for Kids

Have fun learning the principles of mechanical engineering, archital engineering and robotics using LEGO bricks.  This hands on class uses motorized, battery operated LEGO kits and instructions.  There are also plenty of LEGO based games, challenges and as well as free time for creativity.  Ages 7 to 12 grades 1-6.  Flyers will be passed out at the beginning of each session and available in the Monday Packet.

CHESS CLUB

Chess club at Eastbluff is a fun way to introduct our students to the fun and strategy of chess.  The curriculum is designed to fit the needs of all skill levels, continuing and new students are welcome. 

Classes will be held on Fridays from 3:15 to 4:15.  Fliers are passed out when new sessions start, you can check the Monday Packet or the front office for more informatuon. 

Battle of the Books! (BOB)

What is BOB?   BOB is a reading program that has been around since the 1930’s. BOB students will read 24 books and come together in teams to demonstrate their abilities and test their knowledge of these books in a tournament format.  

Who can participate?   The program is open to all 4th, 5th and 6th grade students.

PORTAL LANGUAGES

Portal Languages offers an after school spanish lauguage program to students in Kindergarten through fifth grades.  The language learning program is fun and entertaining with music, puppets, big books, posters, picture cards, etc.  Watch for registration information in the Monday Packet or in you child's backpack a few weeks before each session begins.                                                                                                                                              

 

After School Dance Club at Eastbluff

All students in grades K-6th are welcome to join our exciting after school dance club.  No dance experience is required.  All you need is the passion to learn, have fun and get fit.  Dance genre is basic hip hop style. Wear comfortable clothing, sneakers and be ready to move.  Emphasis will be placed on learning new dance steps that will be choreographed into a routine to be performed at the end of the session for Eastbluff students.  This is a non-competitive dance club that will focus on team work and having fun in a creative, positive and heathy environment.  

Piano Keyboard Club

Kids will have the opportunity to learn to play their favorite songs and music on electric keyboards. Radio hits, movie and television themes are made so easy, that our participants will be playing them after the very first class!
